Now that 2015 is here, remember those donations you did not make in 2014?

Potters love to throw pots, but how can you throw a pot when you don't have any potters wheels? Please help The Studio, a satellite of the nonprofit Orion Art Center in lake Orion, Michigan, buy some wheels so that we can provide lessons and opportunities in the art of Ceramics to kids of all ages. The Orion Art Center is already a magical place, full of love, creative exploration, and beauty. All we need are potters wheels.

Let's start the New Year out right with a early 2015 Donation. Your donation will provide pottery wheels for our growing clay studio. Many fledgling clay artists have already taken classes at the Studio, located next to Diamond Dave's at 424 South Broadway, and your donation will help insure that we can reach even more people this coming year!

The Orion Art Center provides scholarships to high school students (the Joan Brace Scholarship Fund) , plus offers all kinds of art instruction to every kind of budding as well as accomplished artist. We are proud of our Studio, complete with kiln and clay.  The only thing missing is: potters wheels.

With 3 potters wheels we will finally be able to offer an elevated level of instruction to the many creative geniuses in our community as well as surrounding communities. The shining faces of hopeful future Ceramic Artists thank you in advance for your support!

The Orion Art Center has served North Oakland County for 35 years. The Orion Art Center connects the community to the arts by offering, classes, camps, art shows, exhibits, youth scholarships and the annual Dragon on the Lake Community Festival.
Please consider supporting us with a fully deductible tax donation and help us connect the community to the arts!

Congratulations to the Orion Art Center's Joan Brace Scholarship Competition award winners. The yearly event is named for artist Joan Brace, a founding member of the OAC and advocate for young artists. Special thanks to our wonderful community partners, The Chadwick Group and Oxford Bank for supporting emerging artists. Click here for more about the students and their artwork.
