Join us for an exhibition featuring the abstract work of Janet Almstadt-Davison, a dedicated artist and educator. With over 30 years of experience teaching high school art, Janet’s work reflects an appreciation for diverse styles, subject matter, techniques, and materials. In addition to teaching and conducting workshops, she has exhibited in competitions, group shows, and solo shows, with her artwork included in collections across the United States.

Presented in partnership with the Orion Township Public Library, this unique show invites artists to read Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant by Curtis Chin and create an original artwork inspired by the memoir. Each piece must also incorporate at least one element from the Library’s Makerspace.

Polka- Dot Bikini is a celebration of the "itsy bitsy teenie weenie" works created across a multitude of mediums, by an array of Southeast Michigan artists. Only up for a week, this show gave new meaning to a "mini" show!

Chroma celebrates the unique and intimate approaches of expression through non-representational works while considering perspectives grown from personal experience and expertise. Works included in this show are foraged from non-traditional responses, unique color choices, and an adaptation of approaches. Spanning a multitude of mediums, these selected works create an environment both familiar and foreign, universal and individualized, eccentric and pacific. Viewers of the show are welcome to embrace the innovation of abstraction and how these works inevitably correlate with their inner voice.

Orion Art Center and Orion Township Public Library (OTPL) present the second annual Art of Storytelling Exhibition. Each participant received a free copy of the book Kitchens of the Great Midwest to read and create art inspired by the book. Participants then incorporated an element from OTPL's maker's space. It was a beautiful collaboration of literature and art!
The exhibition is on view until April 1, 2024, by appointment only.

Portraits & Pottery was a 2023 exhibition featuring the work of 16 local artists. With three place winners, celebrated artists and educators, including Eugene Clark, juried the competition. Local artists displayed multi-media-based artwork, open to the public.

The Life in Bloom exhibition at Orion Art Center displayed local artwork capturing the subject matter of nature during the spring season. The opening reception included the announcement of the three first-place winners.
