Creative Clay Experience for Children with ASD (13-17)

June 11 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Designed for children (13-17) on the Autism Spectrum and a parent or caregiver, this small group class will offer an opportunity for each child to experience a tactile, hands-on sensory experience using stoneware clay. The children, with help from their adult partner, will shape clay either through sculpting techniques or using a slab, and various tools and textures. Similar to our monthly Community & Clay sessions, students will use a variety of Mayco’s Stroke & Coat glaze on their items which will be single fired and ready for pick up two weeks following their visit.

Space is limited to 6 participants. Please register to secure your spot. Thank you!

Audience: 13-17; No experience necessary

Cost: $40 – includes supplies and firing

Spring Dates: April 23, May 21, and June 11
